My answer was, first write it as a monologue like you are telling the story how it happened to a friend. Then start highlighting the parts where you are imitating what that other said and so on.

The other thing is dreaming and a notepad...lol what do i mean. Well, I have dreams and wake up and there is a notepad by my bedside.. I write down my thoughts and ideas.

I also get ideas in the middle of walking in the street....I literally pull over and right down my funny joke or thought about how to tell the story. If I don't I will forget! SO HAVE A NOTE PAD!
